‘Tis the Season for Grads and Dads

It is June — time to celebrate the huge accomplishment for anyone completing school milestones. Some scholars are completing Kindergarten, Middle School, High School or College. Regardless of the level, it’s cause for celebration.

Grad Cap with a Twist

This mortar board looks like a grad cap, but it’s extra special. Pull it open to reveal a present in the form of everyone’s favorite gift — a gift card. Few supplies are needed to create this perfect card in a jiffy. It’s shown in traditional black, but a grad would love it in their school colors. Step it up by adding “Class of 2021” with stickers or die cuts.

The sentiments on the outside and inside were created with the stamp Many Happenings and the coordinating die, Messages. One inking and one pass through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and you have a boatload of sentiments at the ready for a boatload of occasions.

It’s also time to celebrate and honor dads of all types, including granddads, sons who are fathers, brothers and uncles. Father’s Day is June 20, and it’s a great time to salute all the men in your life who are dads.

Instead of giving Dad a store bought card, show him he’s extra special by crafting a handmade card. Almost every guy loves a ball cap, right? Make it sporty or make it “office casual” as shown in tweed against pinstripes. With Stampin’ Up!’s new Hats Off Bundle, masculine cards don’t have to be a challenge.
