With only 160 crafting days ’til Christmas, NOW is the time purr-fect time to leap into the creative zone. Christmas in July means no inter-ruff-tion to the holiday festivities that arrive once the turkey has been digested.

Stamps, Paper, Ink

It’s back to the basics for these pet cards. Stampin’ Up! makes assembling supplies and tools easy. Coordination is the key. The festive patterned papers from the Tidings of Christmas 6 x 6 paper stack pairs purr-fectly with Cherry Cobbler card stock for the card base. Forty-eight sheets of double-sided patterned paper  provide lots of options to make a barking lot of cards.

Notice the happy Corgi is wearing a Cherry Cobbler sweater? Sneak peek! He was hand-snipped from a sheet of patterned paper debuting in the Holiday Mini Catalog, Sweet Stockings. The color coordination with the Tidings of Christmas is perfect. But there’s more. The Evening Evergreen pine branches match the cheery holiday greeting stamping in Evening Evergreen ink. Even the sparkling rhinestones match the sweater, berries and striped background.

Also a sneak peek is the Sahara Sand label. This label was cropped from the brand new Seasonal Labels Dies to come in the Holiday Mini. Sweet!

Stampin'Up! Plentiful Plants | Just Stamp Pinwheel Fun Fold

Express your gratitude with not just a handmade card, but a Pinwheel Fun Fold card. They’re quite trendy, yet super easy to create — anyone can give it a whirl. And like any handmade card, it will move the recipient beyond words.

As the recipient turns the card, they catch the parts of the story of the sentiment. Plus, the design rests easily on a desktop, table or mantle to create a thoughtful display.

Measurements and creative design can be modified to suit any size, theme or occasion. Here it’s shown with Stampin’ Up!’s Plentiful Plants, a mix of tropical foliage and hardy succulents. The stamp set includes a variety of pots, a macramé hanger and plant stand. The sentiments are set in classic script and serif fonts.

Creating a Pinwheel Fun Fold card requires no special dies or tools. A Paper Trimmer/Scorer or Scoring Tool is all that’s needed to create the card’s base.

The finished size of the demonstrated card is 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, the standard size for handmade cards. It will fit nicely in an A4 envelope provided you follow the suggestion and NOT use thick card stock as the base.

Folded flat, the card will have multiple layers. I also suggest limiting the use of Stampin’ Dimensionals to limit the card thickness.

This mortar board looks like a grad cap, but it’s extra special. Pull it open to reveal a present in the form of everyone’s favorite gift — a gift card. Few supplies are needed to create this perfect card in a jiffy. It’s shown in traditional black, but a grad would love it in their school colors. Step it up by adding “Class of 2021” with stickers or die cuts.
