I love options! With the Daffodil Daydream Bundle featured in the January to June Mini Catalog, Stampin’ Up! has provided lots of creative options. Here are three ways to craft with this lovely bundle featuring one of spring’s prettiest flowers.

Stamp, Color, Die Cut

Project number one showcases the beautiful sprays of daffodils on a Basic White ornate frame. The happy flowers have been colored using Stampin’ Blends and die cut with the outline dies included in the coordinating die set. Gingham and scallop lace ribbon create a soft, pretty card perfect for celebrating milestones like births, anniversaries, birthdays and successes.

Scrap Background and Die Cut Daffodils

Project number two showcases the happy flowers constructed with layered die cuts created with the coordinating dies set.

Patterned paper scraps in 1″ widths were adhered to a Very Vanilla layer, then cut into  1 1/4″ panels. After adhering the panels to the card base, the daffodils were constructed with die cuts of Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla card stock. The dies set conveniently offers two dies of the same style, making it possible to cut a full flower with only one pass through the Mini Cut & Emboss machine.

Coordinating Patterned Paper as the Focal Point

Project number three was crafted with the coordinating Designer Series Paper that is a Sale-a-bration gift choice. One sheet of the paper pack has two wide borders of a daffodil field. The border was first cut to 4″ and the daffodils were then silhouette cut to create a striking card front focal image. Vellum was added behind the daffodil field to soften the Old Olive card base.

The kit’s spotted stamp helped create a soft layer to showcase a sweet sentiment with two Flirty Flamingo hearts. Card stock scraps were cut to 1 x 4 1/2″ and added to the card base. Tiny hearts in Flirty Flamingo were punched with the Dog punch, now retired.

The kits collection of small images inked up a fun, DIY designer series paper that was trimmed to narrow strips and matted on a Real Red card base to create a traditional Valentines card.

Alternative 1: Have an Egg-cellent Day

This month’s kit included colorful envelopes with graphic patterns on the inside. I cannibalized just one envelope to trim and add layers for four cards. Alternative #1 shows both sides of the envelope. The eggs were stamped on scraps of Basic White and colored with the So Saffron Light Blender Pen.

Alternative 2: You are Cherry Sweet

After creating the kit cards as designed, there were leftovers! I used the cherries as well as snips from the cannibalized envelope for another alternative.

Alternative 3: Let’s Grow Mold Together

Love this greeting! It’s perfect for an anniversary or friendship card. The yellow peeking from the top layer is two small one inch squares.

Alternative 4: Thanks a Bunch

This pun never grows old! It’s perfect for expressing thanks. The gingham circle layer was a discard from the rectangle of the “That’s the Pits” kit card.

Holiday Origami Wraps featuring All Stampin' Up!

Do you need to wrap up a small gift? For small, vertical gifts you can quickly and easily create a wrap with just a 6″ x 6″ piece of patterned paper and scraps. The Holiday Origami Wraps feature All Stampin’ Up!, and are the perfect packages for a bone folder, a crafters’ essential tool. The wrap also accommodates pens and pencils, nail files, Wink of Stella, chop sticks, candy canes and other tall, slender objects.

The Holiday Origami Wrap was inspired by a presentation from Stamparista Barbara Chapman at a recent Team Time event. Barbara shared her project at the monthly event that includes lots of fun, a team Make & Take, awards, recognition, prizes and lots of sharing of inspiring projects like this one. Barbara’s wrap held pencil pairs, a great seller at craft shows.

Essential Tools

Great news — this project requires few supplies and tools. The workhorses for this project are the Stampin’ Trimmer, bone folder and assorted punches. The consumables needed are just patterned papers and coordinating cardstock for a belly band and die cuts. Ribbons and embellishments are the pops of pizzazz.
