4 Easter Card Templates You’ll Use All Year Long

You’ve got the stamps. You’ve got the dies. You’ve got patterned paper that’s almost too cute to cut.

And yet — you’re stuck at step one.

That’s exactly why I love teaching with templates.

Easter card class with patterned papers, basket and bunny die cuts, and clean white space design

Today I’m sharing four Easter card templates using the Easter Basket suite by Stampin’ Up! Here’s the secret: these layouts work for birthdays, baby cards, spring hellos, thank yous, and more. Swap the sentiment, change the focal image, and you’re off to the races.

These featured cards are part of this month’s Online Card Class. You can receive the card kit free with a qualifying February order.  (More on that below.)

Let’s break them down and create the adorable Easter cards in an afternoon. Tip: Save the layouts! You can reuse them all year long.

Template #1: The Patterned Paper Anchor

Easter card template with patterned paper strip, basket die cut, and clean white space design

This first card uses vertical patterned paper on one side, clean white space on the other, and a layered focal die cut (hello, basket and bunny!).

Why it works:

  • Patterned paper does the heavy lifting.

  • White space keeps it clean.

  • A single focal cluster gives dimension.

Beginner Tip:
Start with a 2”–2 ½” strip of patterned paper. Add a narrow coordinating cardstock strip beside it for polish.

Level It Up:
Add Dimensionals behind the basket, tuck in extra die cuts, or add a subtle shimmer embellishment.

This layout works beautifully with florals, masculine prints, baby themes — anything.

Template #2: The Diagonal Split (Looks Fancy, Isn’t)

Easter card template with patterned paper diagonal quadrants and bunny in the garden focal point.

This one feels impressive, but it’s surprisingly simple.

By cutting two patterned papers diagonally and layering atop clean white, you instantly get movement and interest. Add a stitched circle and a sweet focal image (like that bunny and carrots), and you’re done.

Why it works:

  • Diagonal lines create energy.

  • Mixing patterns adds personality.

  • The circle softens the angles.

Beginner Tip:
Use two coordinating patterned papers from the same pack — they’re designed to play nicely together.

Template #3: Clean & Simple with a Border

Scallop border Easter card with bunny and friends to welcome Spring.

Oh, this one makes my heart happy.

White space. A scalloped border. A strip of patterned paper along the bottom. A sweet stamped focal image centered front and center.

Why it works:

  • Clean space lets your coloring shine.

  • The border grounds the design.

  • Embellishments add just enough sparkle.

If you’ve ever thought, “My cards look too busy,” this is your new best friend.

Beginner Tip:
Keep embellishments in odd numbers (three is perfect).

Experienced Crafter Tip:
Add subtle ribbon (like that tiny bow) for softness without clutter.

And don’t forget — this layout is perfect for spring, baby, friendship, or even sympathy with the right sentiment.

Template #4: The Simple Fun Fold

Easy fun fold Easter card with die-cut woven filled-basket and Spring patterned paper.

This horizontal fun fold looks complicated, but it’s just a smart layered panel design.

Patterned paper layered across the front.
A fold-stop sentiment.
A die-cut basket focal point.
When propped opened, you get a sweet display perfect for the mantle or desktop.

Why it works:

  • It feels interactive.

  • Patterned paper becomes the star.

  • It’s impressive without being hard.

Fun folds don’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s just about where you score and layer.

Same structure. New story.

And if Easter isn’t on your to-do list? Swap in lambs from Woolley Friends and turn it into a “Happy Birthday” or “Welcome Cutie” card.

Why Templates Matter (Especially If You’re Busy)

At this stage of life, we don’t need more overwhelm.

We need:

  • Repeatable systems

  • Layouts we can trust

  • Supplies that stretch

Templates remove the decision fatigue.

Instead of asking:
“What should I make?”

You ask:
“Which template am I using today?”

That’s a much easier question.
